Seriously, Cillian Murphy's Scarecrow was the very first cinematic bat-villain who actually struck me as genuinely scary and psychotic.

It's those eyes.

If the rumors about Crispin Glover being considered for the role of the Joker in the sequel are true, then we'll have two genuinely scary psychotic villains in a row.

The best reason to see Batman Begins, of course is Christian Bale. He and a consistently tight script and a versimilitude of gritty realism work to make this the first Batman film truly about who Bruce Wayne is. Why he does what he does.

I was never that big a fan of the Burton/Shumacher films...so I'll be totally okay if this becomes "the" Batman movie to most people.
